Hi I’m the Dolly Fairy at Diane’s Dolls!.. 

Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, U.K. my Diane’s Dolls business was established in 1999 with the online sales of antique/vintage dolls and doll’s hospital services. Over the years I have gained an honest and professional reputation in the doll sales and repair world and became known as “The Dolly Fairy” which also became the name of my doll’s hospital.

I stock antique/vintage dolls for collectors of all levels to buy and supply dolls, parts and accessories for film sets, theatre props, TV studios and even theme park rides!. I’m often asked to appear on TV programmes to share my doll repair and restoration knowledge too.

  1. I’ve had my doll since Christmas 1959. Unfortunately in the early 1990s my boisterous sons broke her eyes and she was put away in a cupboard. I contacted Diane recently and we discussed what could be done and my expectations. I was delighted with the repair and sympathetic restoration. ‘Cheyenne Bodie’ is now safely back home and getting ‘under supervision’ hugs from my granddaughter. Thank you for doing such a great job Diane, it’s brought a lot of joy and memories back for me and my 90 year old mum.

  2. I recently was given my mothers doll who resided in a wardrobe for many years. My sister asked me if I would like her. I had always wanted her. When she arrived with me she was literally in pieces but all limbs there, and face in good order. I found Diane The Dolly Fairy on line and asked for her help. Today I have been to collect ‘Doreen’ my mums doll.

    The work that Diane has done is breathtaking! New hands, restrung, new wig, period antique dress – so much! I collected her today.Im so happy Diane!!

    1. hi i have a doll which i got for my 1st birthday she will be 65 next year shes been abit batterd around by my brothers when i was younger shes lost her eyelashes cause they cut them off she just needs tidying up my Granddaughter who is 2 shes love her but shes not allowed to take her home cause her mum and dad said shes scary poor Susan i there anything u can do with her for me please thankyou Caroline

    Fast and efficient service and great communication.

    My granddaughter is going to love her and enjoy playing with her as much as I did when I was little. So pleased to have her back in one piece.

  6. Diane’s work is amazing. I took my 1949 21″ doll to Diane. She was very poorly indeed. She had missing toes and fingers. No voice box and cracks everywhere. Her eyes were in a really bad state and she needed total re-stringing as well as a lot of work on her leg and arm joints. A lot of TLC was called for and it was given in abundance from Diane.

    When I collected my doll I couldn’t believe the difference Diane had made. Just incredible. She had had a dolly spa and looked amazing.

    I cannot praise Diane enough and would highly recommend her to anyone with a doll needing remedial work doing.

    Thank you so much Diane for all your work on Annie. My daughter will treasure her for ever.

  9. Diane restored my 1950’s doll beautifully. Jennifer had travelled with me all around the world, always with me. After 70 years she needed re-stringing, a new voice box and some beauty treatments. With a new outfit, Jennifer now sits proudly once again.

Amazing repair , this is the second time I have used Diane for my doll repair, the first one was my Tiny Tears from the sixties to have new eyes what an amazing job you did Diane, and now ive just had my late mums little antique doll restrung a wonderful job as always what a talented lady you are .   16. hi I have a doll from the 1990s who is very special to me. Her eyes are broken now. They are the kind that close when you lay her down. She is made of plastic with a soft middle body How much on average would you charge to restore something like that? Everything else on her is fine but her beautiful little eyes are just broken, she is missing a finger thanks to a family dog but I’m not bothered as much about that injustice want to repair the eyes

She feels like new all restrung and cleaned , her hair looks amazing, and smells clean to ❤️, I can’t wait to get her some new cloths and give her to my granddaughter for Christmas to cherish, she will also look great in her new silver cross dolls pram that Santa has got her, thank you ☺️

  22. We purchased one of the twins from the Carrie and Christopher twins.
    my grandma has the twins and my little girl loves to play with them, so my grandma wanted to purchase some of her own so they can play together.
    the doll is perfect and they have shared many games and allowed my grandma to rekindle some old memories x

    1. I ordered elastic to restring my dolls , it arrived very quickly and is great quality with proper binding I arrived this morning and I had my first doll restrung by lunchtime. Thankyou for such a great service.

  38. While moving house, I found my sad and neglected Sasha dolls in the attic. I nearly gave up on them but after discussing things with Diane, felt a makeover was worth it. She put new wigs on both my girls and gave them a restring. I think they actually have nicer hair and look better than they did when they were new! It wasn’t as expensive as you might think, and communication with Diane was excellent and to the point. Highly recommended!

  42. I had a 65 year old Black doll that was in dire need of repair and some TLC. I contacted Diane she was so quick to respond and looked after my precious doll so well, she was back to me within the week. She looks absolutely fantastic you would not think she has been repaired. It’s such a great feeling to have her mended as now I can have her on display, she will definitely help me and my family share many memories I am so grateful to Diane, she has done a wonderful job. Would highly recommend her thank you so much .

      I really am so happy with the way you have restored my doll Abby she looks amazing at long last ,no longer kept in the loft ,but is now in full veiw ,,my family have never seen her complete and my eldest is 54yrs old,
